Marcia Ann Rico
Centerfield, Utah
Marcia Ann Jensen Rico was born September 25, 1958 in Salt Lake City and passed away December 6, 2024 at the age of 66 in Gunnison, surrounded by her loving husband, siblings, children, and other family after a long battle with health issues.
She was born and then adopted two days later by Mardell and Elva Jensen with the help of LDS adoption services. They raised her in a loving home as the oldest of four children: LaRee, Keith, and McKay. She grew up in Centerfield where she attended school and graduated from Gunnison Valley High School as part of the 1976 graduating class. She attended Snow College where she received an associates degree and later attended the Sevier Valley Technical School where she earned a certificate in clerical work.
She later married John Walker and moved to Las Vegas, with whom she had two children Tyler and Kenneth. They were later divorced. She then moved back home to Centerfield where she met and married the love of her life, Sergio Rico, with whom she then had three more children: Erik, Justin, and Jasmin. They have faithfully been side by side for 35 years and over the last year he has dedicated all his time to make sure she was able to get the best care possible for health issues that suddenly and drastically changed their lives.
She was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served many callings such as Primary president which she loved dearly and also had callings in the Relief Society and Young Women’s program.
She was a very hard worker all of her life and had many jobs throughout her time here on earth. She worked jobs such as a sewing plant worker to grocery store manager, but dedicated many years working and growing her knowledge in the insurance industry. Her greatest job was that of a loving wife, mother, and grandma.
She is survived by her husband, Sergio; children: Tyler (Keri) Walker, Kenneth (Jilleen) Walker, Erik (Stacie) Rico, Justin (Karina) Rico, Jasmin (Brody) Ames; grandchildren: Jessika Walker, EmmaLou Walker, Jensen Rico, Emmett Rico, Derik Bailey, Shelise Bailey, Alex Allen; great-grandchildren: Roslyn Beck, Brassin Wing, Kysslee Latham, Kastyn Latham; mother-in-law, Agueda Rico; all of her siblings, in laws, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
