Marven Allen Ogden 72 passed away on January 2, 2016 after battling with cancer. He had a positive attitude and sense of humor to the very end. He was born January 18, 1943 in Delta, Utah, to Marven J and Arva Allen Ogden.
Allen was a proud member of the 4H club throughout his youth winning dozens of grand champion awards at almost every event he attended by showing his livestock. He graduated from Delta High School, served an LDS mission to Florida, and attended Utah State University where he graduated with degrees in Land Management and Economics. He retired from the Soil Conservation Service in 1994. He loved the outdoors, camping, horses, hunting and fishing, fast cars and motorcycles. He loved spending time with family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children: Michae (Blair) Jensen, Bret Allen (Melissa) Ogden, Christine (Ben) Vines, Marc (Libby) Ogden, Christopher Allen (Jin) Ogden; many wonderful grandchildren; sisters: Marva (Richard) Rush, Nadine (Marc) Nay, and Margie (Sterling) Gillman.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Coralie Rawlinson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel in Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thursday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
