Mack Evans Smith was born on November 6, 1941 in Watertown, New York to Justin Mack Smith and Eileen Evans Smith. His father was in the military and they moved around quite a bit, primarily living in Utah.

He served a mission in California for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On May 27, 1965 he married Sherry Crookston in the Logan Utah temple. They are the parents of five children: Debby (Bryan) Green, Robin (Gina) Smith, Roxanne (Ken) Wabel, Jeremy (May) Smith, and Heather (Neldon) Paul. He is also survived by his sister, Suzanne (Vaughn) Nordes.

For most of Mack’s life, he lived in Burrville, Utah, where he passed away the morning of June 22, 2022 at the age of 80 years old.

Mack was an educator, and he especially enjoyed working with the youth. Most of his career was working at Sorenson's Ranch School in Koosharem, Utah. In the community and at work he taught history, science, scouting, hunter safety, and a variety of outdoor survival skills.

Everyone who knew Mack loved him dearly, and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tim.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Burrville Cemetery. Afterward there will be a community luncheon at the Koosharem Ward building at 1:30 p.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
