Lynn Snow Parker passed away peacefully June 18, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at Riverton Utah Hospital.

He is survived by children: Vivien (Richard) Northrup, Patricia (Carl) Christiansen, Jeanne (Greg) Mendenhall and Scott (Kay) Parker; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings: Sylvia Hunt, Fay Parker, Melba Larsen, Janice (Dayle) Jeffs and Joyce Shipp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, infant son, Brett James Parker and siblings: Gerald Parker, Vernon Parker, Iris (Elwood) Corry, twin brother, Glen Parker and Margaret (Mike) Jensen; brothers-in-law: Mack Hunt, Birch Larsen, Charles Shipp Jr.; sister-in-law, Doris Parker.

Lynn gave many years of faithful service as a member of the LDS Church. He served as Bishop, and in other auxiliary positions. He and Shirley filled a mission in the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.

We are proud of who you were, what you accomplished, and who you taught us to be. We will do our best to carry on your legacy. You have truly blessed our lives. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant..." Rest in peace.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Joseph Ward Chapel, in Elsinore. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, on Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Joseph Cemetery with Military Rites by the Monroe American Legion Post #37. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.

He graduated from South Sevier High School in 1938, spent one year at BAC in Cedar City, Utah and transferred to Utah State University where he graduated in 1942. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Utah. On June 13, 1939, Lynn married Shirley Johnson in the Manti Temple. The next two years he served in the Merchant Marines during World War II in the Pacific. He worked for 35 years as an educator, 15 years as a basketball coach in Marysvale and Piute High Schools, and operated a farm in Joseph, Utah for many years.

He was born in Leeds, Washington County, Utah, April 29, 1920 to James Elbert Parker and Lucina (Zina) Snow Parker. The family moved to Joseph, Utah in 1922.
