 Lynn West Lindsay was surrounded by family as he passed from this life after a courageous battle with a lung condition on January 10, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, teacher and friend. He was born on August 14, 1944, to Walter West Lindsay and Grace Kent Lindsay in Ogden, Weber County, Utah. He attended Ogden High School, graduating in 1962. He graduated from Brigham Young University with both a Bachelors and Masters degree. 

 Lynn taught high school for 20 years in Hagerman, Idaho, and went on to teach another 20 years at Snow College in Ephraim. He volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader and Counselor in Hagerman and spent summers serving as a merit badge counselor at Camp Bradley near Stanley, Idaho in the Snake River Council. He also worked with troubled youth in conjunction with SUWS (School of Urban and Wilderness Survival). 

 Lynn was called to serve in the New England States Mission from 1963-1965. Throughout his life, he served in many church positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including bishop, high council, and as a temple ordinance worker. He particularly enjoyed helping with multiple girls’ camps, youth conferences and youth treks in both Idaho and Utah. Lynn and his wife Camille served as a couple on an service mission at Camp Atoka in the Ogden Valley. 

 Lynn was married to Edith Camille Olsen on September 6, 1968. He has 4 sons and 3 daughters: Russell Kent, Rebecca Anne, Kirk West, Teresa Camille, Grant Clifford, Colleen Grace and Bruce Walter. 

 Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Camille; parents; sister, Sally Sanders; and great-grandson Tevita West Ma’ake. 

 He is survived by his sons and daughters Russell (Tracy), Rebecca, Kirk (Sharon), Teresa, Grant (Stephanie), Colleen (Doug) and Bruce; sisters: Shirley Gardner, Sue Leth and Linda (Tomi) Hanson; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 12:00 Noon in the Ephraim 2nd Ward Chapel, 450 North 200 West, Ephraim. Viewing at the church from 10:00-11:30 am. Family graveside services will be Friday in Liberty, Utah. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
