Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Lula Mary Chynoweth Neilson Moore, 97 and a half, passed away April 25, 2017 at her home in Henrieville. She was born, November 20, 1919 in Henrieville to Harvey Pugh and Roxie Campbell Chynoweth.

She married James Varcel Neilson, April 3, 1937. The marriage was solemnized June 8, 1939 in the St. George LDS Temple, he preceded her in death June 19, 1946. She married Van Barney, March 9, 1949. Lula married Frank William Moore, February 15, 1958. He preceded her in death, December 23, 1981.

Lula spent her life giving service. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served as a ward Relief Society President and in various others callings. She loved her family and was a friend to the youth. Lula was the oldest living resident in Bryce Valley for many years.

She is survived by her son, Frankie Elige (Gayle) Moore, Henrieville; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Neilson, Henrieville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren with four more on the way; sister, Roxanna Johnson, Cannonville; brother, Ralph (Lael) Chynoweth, Henrieville.

Preceding her in death are her husbands: Varcel, Van, and Frank; sons: Darreld Varcel (Mary Lou) Neilson, Doyle Harvey Neilson, Cloyd Andrew Neilson; brothers and sisters: Nelda (Virgil) Jolley, Bud Chynoweth, Lois (Darrell) Blackwell, Jack (Mae) Chynoweth, Katie (John) Morton, Gene (Maryetta) Chynoweth, Wade (Mary) Chynoweth; grandson-in-law: Russell Hatch; brother-in-law: Golden Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 12:00 Noon in the Henrieville LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Henrieville on Friday evening from 6 to 8 and again on Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Henrieville Cemetery.
