Maple Grove was the family fun spot where many happy hours were spent sharing with loved ones each year along with special family reunions held at Timpanogos Lodge in Provo Canyon, Utah. Lucille was a devoted wife and mother and worked hard to provide a clean, calm home and delicious meals for the family. Later when family members visited she would often say, "If I'd have known you were coming I would have baked you a cake." She loved learning and encouraged all the children to get a higher education. She enjoyed reading gospel books and going to BYU Education week every year.
As a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lucille was always serving others, whether taking meals to friends and neighbors or serving in various callings such as visiting teacher, Relief Society teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher, counselor in the Relief Society, Primary president, and stake Primary president.
