Lowell Evan Callaway, 79, of Loomis, California, passed away on September 17, 2017 surrounded by loved ones in Roseville, CA. Born October 28, 1937, in Los Angeles, California to Evan Thomas and Mary Florence Davis Callaway. He married Linda Ogden on April 16, 1959 while attending Brigham Young University where he graduated in 1960.
Lowell was known for his hard work and generosity throughout his life. In Marysvale, Utah he worked in the mine, ran a boys ranch, and substituted at Piute High School. He later retired as a hospital owner/administrator in California.
Lowell is survived by his wife; children: Dena (Mike) Schmidt, Mark (Anna) Callaway, Karen (Gary) Jarvis, Sarah (Tim) Rath, Victoria, and Angie (niece); 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sisters: Nyda Dell Marx, Velda Pierce, Mary Seimars; and brother: Dean (Ruth). Proceeded in death by his parents; son Christopher; and brother Del.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may callfrom 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Richfield Cemetery.
