Lorraine Helton
Manti, UT
Lorraine Mae Helton, age 93, went to be with her Lord on May 27, 2021, at her home in Manti. She was born November 30, 1927, in Rock Island, Illinois. She was the beloved daughter of Georgia and Albert Cavanaugh. Her joyous life was shared first in California with Bob O’Bryant and their son Bobby [a previous resident of Manti].
The second period of her life was greatly enriched by her husband, Mike, and their move to Utah to be near family. This segment of her life was a welcome change from the bustle of Southern California – to calm Manti and its welcoming people. She found good friends and connected with more relatives. Custom car shows were a delight – as were her “collecting” interests and her commitment to animals and urban wildlife. But more important to her was the genuine friendships – both youngsters and “a little older”. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike, her brother Joseph [of Arizona], his wife Noma, four stepsons, two stepdaughters, four nieces [one of Richfield], two nephews and many grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life, here and hereafter, will continue on June 2, 2021 with a gathering from 10:30-11:30 AM at Magleby Mortuary, Manti with graveside services following at 12:00 noon in the Manti City Cemetery conducted by Pastor Dan George of New Hope Community Church [Richfield].
