Lori Kae Powell

Glenwood, Utah

A comet flashed across the sky telling us the doors to heaven would soon fly open for our Lori. On April 14, 2015, Lori Kae Powell passed on in Orem. Lori was born June 15, 1958 in Richfield to Kenneth Hayes and Charlene Bastian Powell.

Anything Lori did she did well. She moved mountains and paved the way for all. She gathered, took care of, and loved the people who worked with her. She took into her heart and then shared with us the beautiful vistas, the menagerie of animals, and the adventures she encountered along the way.

In typical Lori-fashion, she blazes a trail for her mother, Charlene B Hunt, Sigurd; her brothers, Hayes G (Sheila) Powell, Farmington; Vincent K (Carrie) Powell, Highland; her sisters: Joey A Hunt, Cove; Jamie H (Brent) Morrison, Franklin, ID; JaLene "Partner" Hunt, Cove; and her close friend, Sandy Johnson, Glenwood. Lori’s father, Kenneth Powell, preceded her on the journey.

A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.magleybmortuary.com

We will continue to look for Lori in waving blades of grass, a vast starry night sky, all creatures great and small, a breathtaking sunrise, a morning cup of coffee, and the soft glow of sunset. In Lori, we found how to be a part of the world and yet, be happy with our individual selves. We love you, Lori. Always.
