Larane Lyman Reyes, 62 of Silver City, New Mexico and formerly of Escalante, UT passed away March 15, 2015 in St. George, UT. She was born September 11, 1952 in Panguitch, UT to Phyllis Haws and Mason Dale Lyman and was raised by Freland Burns Alvey. She was sealed in the St. George Temple to Freland and Phyllis. She married David Sanders in 1969, they later divorced. She married Ernesto Reyes in 1998.
Larane grew up and attended schools in Escalante. She was working as a heavy haul truck driver in the mining industry for many years.
She is survived by her parents, all of Escalante; husband of Silver City, NM; children: William Dale (Sandy) Sanders, Tooele Valley; Carmen Victoria Sanders (Donald Gene) Henderson, Aztec, NM; Freland Glenn Sanders, Hurley, NM; Ernesto’s children: Billy, Misty, Boyd Reyes, all of Silver City, NM; and Don Reyes, Austin, TX; many grand and great-grandchildren; sister, Teri Lynn (Clyde) Christensen, Tooele Valley. She is preceded in death by a sister, Marion Dawn Randall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Escalante LDS Stake Center. Friends may call at the church in Escalante on Wednesday from 11:30 to 12:30. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
