     Carol Loraine McConnell, 86, passed away peacefully in her home in Elsinore on July 17, 2024, surrounded by family and close friends. Loraine was born February 9, 1938 in Goshen to Carol Schwab and Stanley Kjeld Christensen.
     Loraine met Keith D. McConnell in 1956 on Valentine’s day and they were married that year on June 22nd. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple. They enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. 
     Loraine’s deep love for her family and friends, her sense of humor and her happy countenance will be deeply missed. 
     Survived by her husband, Keith, Elsinore; children: Sharon Roberts, Cheyenne, WY; Stan (Marlene) McConnell, LaVerkin; Carrie McConnell, Richfield; Kathy (Bill) Purinton, Prineville, OR; Lisa (Roy) Mitchell, Pagosa Springs, CO; grandchildren: Randall (Jamie) McConnell, Justin (Mindy) McConnell, Jacy (Jason) Christensen, Kristopher (Heather) Roberts, Michael McConnell, Kit Marley Mitchell, Marie Mitchell, Dylan Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Nick, Travis, Bo, Braigen, Brinkley, Brixon, Drayson, Cruz; great-great-granddaughter, Amara. Close friends who are like family: Jolynne McConnell, Brannan and Rachael Revey, Kena Boweter, and Blaine Roberts. 
     Preceded in death by her parents; sons: Kjeld and Michael McConnell, great-granddaughter, Aspen Roberts. 
     Special thanks to Zions Way Home Health for the loving care they provided Loraine.
     Loraine chose to have her body donated to science. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
