    Lois Helene Madsen Willardsen 84, of Ephraim passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Centerfield on January 10, 2024.  Helene was born September 22, 1939 in Ephraim to Ray and Phyllis Stevensen Madsen.  Helene graduated from Manti High School with the class of 1957. She later married Christian Willardsen and they raised three children together, they were later divorced. 
    Helene’s greatest joy was her family. She looked forward to spending time with them and cooking for her children and grandchildren. She was always very close with her siblings and enjoyed traveling with them throughout her life. Helene worked in retail for over 40 years. She was a life-long resident of Ephraim and really enjoyed going for a ride, drinking a Coke and observing the changes around the community. 
    Helene is survived by her daughter, Vicki Gurney; son, Adam (Sarah) Willardsen; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Allred; and many nieces and nephews. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, George Christian Willardsen; son, Theron Chris Willardsen; grandson, Seth Gurney; brother, Steve Madsen; sister-in-law, Judy Madsen; and brother-in-law Dick Allred. 
    Funeral services will be held, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 12:00 Noon in the Ephraim 8th Ward chapel, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Interment will be in the Ephraim Park Cemetery.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
