Lois Marjorie Montgomery McKinlay, 86, passed away April 18, 2011 in Richfield. She was born August 3, 1924 in Richfield to Allen and Lenna Scott Montgomery. She married William "Bill" McKinlay, February 14, 1942 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death October 15, 2007.
Mom was an elegant and classy lady. She was adored by her family and was the gleam in Bill’s eye, she was soft spoken and courteous to others. Mom was an immaculate house keeper and a great cook, she made a "hell of a good" grilled cheese sandwich. During the war years, she moved wherever Bill was stationed but always longed to come back home. She supervised Bill with the yard work and loved her flower beds.
Survived by children, Brent (Alicia) McKinlay and William Allen McKinlay, both of Richfield, Scott (Cecilia) McKinlay of Salt Lake City; grandchildren: Hollie (Nate) Curtis, Kamie (Kirk) Kelsey, Annalicia (Austin) Somers, Patricia, Rachel, Mary and Jessie McKinlay; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Jess William Curtis, Kaylen Kelsey, Seth McKinlay.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Eva Hansen, Allen Montgomery, Ilah Carron and Dorothy Hansen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the Magleby Mortuary, where friends may call for viewing on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
