LoAnna Ramsay Allen, 77, of Richfield, passed away July 1, 2016 in Richfield. She was born July 10, 1939 in Ely, Nevada, to Wendell Stringham and Loa Reid Ramsay. She married Stanley B. Allen, July 16, 1959 in the St. George LDS Temple.
LoAnna was a member of the LDS Church and served as president in her ward Relief Society and Young Women’s organizations. She was also stake music director. She and her husband served a mission in Nauvoo from 2014 - 2015.
She graduated from Dixie College and Weber State with a degree as a registered nurse. She worked in the Roosevelt Hospital E.R. for a number of years and was with IHC Home Health in Richfield until her retirement. To "unwind" she loved gardening. She loved her flowers.
LoAnna is survived by her husband, Stan, Richfield; children: David (Lois) Allen, ND; Doug Allen, Farmington; Daniel (Nanette) Allen and Jana (Jeremiah) Jackson, both of Gillette, WY; Darin (Leta) Allen, Logan; Julie (Shane) Dyches, Magna; 23 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery Allen; brother Reid Stringham Ramsay; and daughter-in-law, Allison.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richfield East Stake Center, 800 North 500 East, where friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
