Lloyd Dean Bunnell, 78, of Centerfield, passed away December 2, 2012 in Centerfield. Lloyd was born September 22, 1934 in Provo to Joel Dean and Ethel Clinger Bunnell. He married Rose Joy, December 1, 1955, they later divorced. He married Della Allred James, June 4, 1980.

Lloyd enlisted in the Air Force, April 15, 1952, while still in high school. He served his country honorably including two tours in Vietnam from 1966-1967 and 1970-1971 for which he received Meritorious Commendations. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant, July 31, 1972. After his military service, he worked many years as a heavy equipment operator.

Lloyd loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family. He and Della took many trips to Otter Creek, Fish Lake, Koosharem Reservoir and 9 Mile Reservoir to fish. Lloyd enjoyed his family and especially enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very proud of his family and loved them very much.

He is survived by his wife, Della of Centerfield; sons, Dean (Holly), Centerfield; James (Kaylinda), Colorado Springs, CO; step-sons: Scott (Carma) Sorensen, Mayfield; Blake (Kendra) Sorensen, Centerfield; Keith (Jeana) James, Washington City; and step-daughter, Lynette Mincks, Centerfield; sister, Arla Jean Segmiller, Florida; brother, Brad (Donna) Duffin, Richfield; 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Shauna; and a great grandson, Blake Hal; brother, Joel Reed Bunnell; brother-in-law, George Segmiller.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 12:00 in the Centerfield 1 st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm and Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery with military rites by the Centerfield American Legion Post #108 and the Utah Honor Guard.
