Linda Lee Woody Schmutz, 75, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016, in Las Vegas. Linda was one of three children of George Raymond and Mary Helen Kidd Woody and was born on December 18, 1940, in Omar, West Virginia. She married Dr. Joseph Richard Schmutz on May 19, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The marriage was solemnized on October 15, 1994 in the Las Vegas Temple. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2004.
Linda resided in Las Vegas since 1974, and worked as an office manager and consultant for Galleria Pediatric Dentistry until her retirement in 2006. Her hobbies included walking, reading, board games, and she enjoyed family travels and visiting their Utah "farmhouse".
Linda is survived by her children: David Guedry, Dallas, TX; John Guedry, Las Vegas; Debra Ballard, Cedar City, UT; James Guedry, Gulfport, MS. She is also survived by her pride and joy, her grandchildren: Matt, Samantha, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Alexi, William, Jocelyn, Jack; and great-grandchildren: Bradley and Brayden; sister, Frances Linden, Kettering, OH; brother, Raymond Woody, Newnan, GA.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Linda will be missed by her family and those that knew her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cozy Lane LDS Chapel, 2497 Cozy Hill Circle, in Henderson, NV. Burial will be in the Mayfield Cemetery on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
