Lila Marie Thompson, 61, was born July 12, 1950 in Redding, California and had two priorities in her life; her relationship with our Heavenly Father and her relationship with her family. Lila was a compassionate and caring woman who devoted much of her time to Manti Temple and being active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and husband Eric enjoyed mentoring and guiding the youth of the church, helping to set them on the right path as Mormons. As a wife, a mother, and a grandmother Lila sacrificed everything to nurture and protect her family. She was a lover, a listener, a healer, a giver, a teacher, and a rock. Her words of inspiration and wisdom fueled the fire of many hearts that she touched. A woman of prayer, Lila reached out to the Lord daily to watch over and protect her loved ones. Lila left to join the Lord on February 29, 2012. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Eric, her daughter Ronnette, sons Darren (Nancy) and Brandon (Julie), and her 8 beautiful grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke, Cody, Chad, Kayla, Hailey, Brad and Rylan. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Manti LDS Tabernacle. Friends may call prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery.
