LeVara Mae Halverson Mitchell, 94, returned home October 3, 2017 in Lehi. She was born April 6, 1923 to Elroy Halverson and Esther Fuell in Hayden, Utah, the third of four children.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully fulfilled her many callings, including 17 years in Scouting.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Arthur O Mitchell, June 12, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Seven children were blessed to call her mother: Anna (Harold Pearson, deceased) Manti; June (Mike Willes) Lehi; Louise (Barry Johnson) Cedar City; Bob (deceased); Brad (Jeanne Bennion) Perry, OK; Mindy (Robert Young) Richfield; Arva (deceased). She is the grandmother of 34 and great-grandmother of 78 and 5 great-great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
Art, two children and all of her immediate family preceded her in death. What a Great Reunion!
Funeral services will by held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Manti 9th Ward, 300 South Main (Red Church), where friends may call Friday 6-8 pm, and Saturday 9-10 am. Interment will be in the Neola Cemetery at 3:30 pm that same day.
