Our sweet, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Lesa Gaye Brown Blevins, broke the chains of a tired broken body and returned to the arms of her mom, dad and Heavenly Father on April 29, 2016.
Lesa was born February 23, 1954 in Angle, Utah. Leonal G "Tiger" and Willda Ingram Brown adopted their little angel 5 days later. At the age of 3 ½, she was diagnosed with diabetes, but she never let that stop her from leading a full life and doing all the things she wanted to.
She married Kelly Blevins November 5, 1987 in Carson City, Nevada.
Lesa loved music and enjoyed playing the piano at a young age and in many church callings until her eyesight diminished to where it was too difficult to read the music.
She had a beautiful talent to crochet and knit. She made many afghans and baby dresses. Everyone in the family has been blessed to have a hand knitted Christmas stocking with their name on it.
Lesa enjoyed camping and deep sea fishing with her husband Kelly and her best friend Buffy, her dog. She had a love for dogs from a very young age and treated them as one of her kids, even teaching Ditto how to sing.
She had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her Heavenly Father and her savior, Jesus Christ and had a very close relationship with them. She now has the opportunity to meet the hundreds of people she has done genealogy for. Her last church calling was her most favorite and fulfilled one of her life dreams, working in the Manti Utah Temple until a ATV accident in 2015 made it necessary for her to retire.
We will truly miss this sweet angel but are so happy for her that she is home again.
She is survived by her husband, Kelly of Sevier; children, Misty (Reese) Summarell of Salina, Travis (Charlene) Avery of Monroe, Gerald (Lori) Blevins of Friant, CA; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Melissa (Bart) Lee of Monroe; in-laws, Katherine Cooper of Modesto, CA, Ronnie (Charlene) Blevins of Oregon, H.L (Sharon) Blevins of Torona, CA, Brenda McChanie of Clovis, CA, Larry Blevins of Modera Ranchos, CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeremy Avery; step-daughter, Roxanne Raia; brother, Kelly Leonal Brown; brother-in-law, Jess Cooper.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel, 50 North Center, in Elsinore, Utah.
