Lennis William Clark, a resident of Annabella, passed away on July 26, 2023, in Richfield with his wife of 58 years by his side. He was born on April 21, 1940, to Curtis J and OE May Clark in Bell, CA. Later his family moved to Rosemead, CA where he attended elementary, junior, and high school. He joined the Army Reserves where he was stationed in Washington State.
Lennis served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil South mission.
He met his wife, Carrol Orsbun, at a church dance, and a few weeks later, on June 25, 1965 were married in the Los Angeles Temple for Time and all Eternity. They had two children: Shana Clark and Holly Solomon, who gave them five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lennis worked and later retired from Bell Telephone Systems.
During his lifetime, Lennis enjoyed yearly trips to Lake Powell, RZR rides, and hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking, rock hounding, gardening, westerns, photography, belt buckles, and Pepsi. He was obsessed with clocks, plants, flashlights, rocks, and Trump.
He is survived by his wife, Carrol; daughters: Shana Clark and Holly Solomon; his grandchildren: Kendra Barney, Joshua Clark, Breanna Davis, Amber Craig, and Ashley Bunyan; great-grandchildren: Jaxson Clark, Colby Craig, Halo Barney, Harland Craig, Rayni Clark, Waylon Craig, Austin Craig, and Bridger Clark; sisters: Donna Schwab and Cathy Brown.
Lennis was proceeded in death by his parents Curtis J and OE May Clark, and his brother Curtis E Clark.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Annabella 1st Ward Chapel. All are welcome to say their goodbye’s on Thursday evening at the Magleby Mortuary from 6-7:00 p.m. or Friday morning at the ward chapel from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Lennis’ final resting place will be in the Annabella Cemetery.
