Luana Riddle

Beloved wife, beautiful and sweet mother, and adored grandmother, Luana Wood Riddle, 88, of Tropic, passed away May 24, 2013 in Panguitch. She was born February 8, 1925 in Cedar City to Conroy Bryner and Violet Ann Jones Wood. She married Ben Smith Riddle, June 21, 1942 in Cedar City. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple.
Luana was raised on a farm on Cedar Mountain called Woods Ranch. She said she was a lonely child and spoiled rotten, because her brothers and sisters were so much older. She had dance lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, and her horse Laddie.
All through her life she sang and played the piano and organ everywhere she lived. She was a master musician. Luana was adored and loved by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Ben, Tropic; children: Cheri (LaMar) Feltner, Tropic; Benjamin Wood (Judy) Riddle, San Diego, CA; Shauna (Joseph) Smith, Phoenix, AZ; 25 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents; son, Michael Conwood Riddle; granddaughter, Tina Cherie Feltner; brothers: Vertis, Orville and Wourth; sisters: Shirley, Gertrude, and Ella.
Funeral services are will be held on Thursday, May30, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Tropic Ward Chapel. The viewing will be held at the Ward Chapel in Tropic on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Tropic Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
