Lanell West Winkel, 75, of Torrey, passed away on October 18, 2014 surrounded by her family. Lanell was born on February 16, 1939 in Los Angeles California to James West and Unell Mixon. She married Thomas Ray Winkel on June 8, 1968 in the Oakland California LDS Temple.
Lanell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children; Tanya Renee, of Torrey, Thomas John of Martinez, CA, and Thys Hendrik, of Torrey. She is also survived a sister, JoAnn West, of Martinez, CA, and 4 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Torrey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
