Kurt DeVries, 73, of Sterling, passed away on November 8, 2015 at his home. Kurt was born on October 3, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT to John and Barbara Bryan DeVries.
Kurt joined the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam war. He married Peta Robyne Sallee on November 26, 1966 in Salt Lake City, UT. Kurt was a professional OTR truck driver, history buff, hard worker and an avid listener of books on tape. He enjoyed his down time by watching tv with his family and remodeling his home.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Peta, of Sterling; children, Dominique (Travis) Bloomer; Robyne (Paul) Barlow, both of Salt Lake City and Anthony (Haylie) DeVries, of Sterling. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Noelle (Kirk) Foster and numerous nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kim and Joni; grandchild, Arielle and great-grandchild, Chase.
Memorial services for friends and family will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. at the DeVries residence.
