Kris Moon
St. George, Utah
The brightest smile. A heart of solid gold. Loving mother, grandmother, and true friend—our Kristeen “Kris” Hazen Moon was suddenly taken from us on February 4, 2022. She was born July 14, 1962 in Salt Lake City to Richard Hazen and Renee Ogden.
Kris grew up in St, George, where she rode her horse, Kitty, over Foremaster Ridge and helped at the family’s veterinary clinic. Kris loves sports and played basketball, volleyball, and swam for Dixie High School. Kris also loved to spend time at the lake and water ski.
Kris’s grandbabies were the light of her life and she loved spending time with them. They have fond memories with Kris where they went to the park, went out for ice cream, and went to get their hair done together.
Anyone who ever met Kris loved her and she eagerly kept in touch with her friends. Kris was an avid supporter of the St. George music scene and loved listening to her friends’ bands play.
Kris was a gentle soul—our momma, our grandma, our friend. She will be very missed, but we know she is now reunited with her love, Mark Moon.
Survived by her children: Haley (James Shae) Newcomb, Cory (Kevin) Segalla, Danny Excell; 6 grandchildren; brother, RK Hazen.
Preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, K.C. Hazen, Greg Hazen.
Cremation services to be held in the Magleby Mortuary Crematory. Celebration of life for Kris will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Beaver Dam Bar. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
