Kip Leland Wilson passed away in his home in Richfield on November 1, 2014, after a valiant battle with brain cancer. He was born on April 15, 1954 to Duane and Tex Conder Wilson.
He grew up in Richfield and graduated from Richfield High School (Class of 72) where he participated in football, basketball, baseball and track. He later attended Southern Utah University and LDS Business College, and graduated with his Associate’s degree.
He married Tina Nielsen, and they had four children. They later divorced.
On August 8, 1998, he married Fjola Marie High. She never left his side during his last few months of life. She was his angel here on earth.
Kip worked for Labrum Ford for more than 20 years. He left Richfield and his position as general manager to pursue other adventures. He recently returned to Richfield from the Heber City area to be closer to family and to help take care of the family farm. He was employed at Classic Motors at the time of his diagnosis, where he was their top salesperson. Kip always served his employers and customers with integrity.
He loved Prattville - the family farm. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseback riding, doing the Sunday paper crossword and playing solitaire. Renovating his ’68 Ford Mustang for his kids was one of his greatest joys. He had a great sense of humor, recently reminding us that his cancer diagnosis "was still a long way from his heart."
Kip is survived by his wife, Fjola; children: Kenzie (Stan) Gordon, Kelli (Zac) Manning, Megan (Ryan) Birkes and Jace (Amanda) Wilson; step-children: Kristie (Kevin) Bradshaw and Shelly (Eli) Childers; parents, Duane and Tex Wilson; siblings: Patrick (Brenda) Wilson and Jodie (Duane) Lundell; sisters-in-law, Linda (Ryan) Andersen; brother-in-law, Robert (Pam) Henson. Kip loved his 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Ashley Sorensen; his mother-in-law, Kristjana High and his brother-in-law Michael High; sister-in-law, Margaret Tidwell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Richfield 5 th Ward, 805 North 500 East. Friends may call at the ward chapel on Friday morning from 11:00 to 12:30. Burial in the Richfield City Cemetery
