Kevin Max Stilson peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on March 14, 2013 at the young age of 48 in Salt Lake City. He was born was born May 22, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to EdwinA and Sharron Hansen Stilson. He married Linda Marie Anderson, June 4, 1982. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple, September 20, 1985. She later passed away after 11 short years together.
Kevin later met and married Elizabeth Schuring of Ephraim on February 3, 1995, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple as well. Together with his 3 children, Ben, Tiffany and Weston and Liz’s daughter Lyndzee, they built a family. A year later they welcomed another daughter, Kemri.
Kevin served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He belonged to various public service groups such as Ephraim City EMS, Sanpete County Search and Rescue, Sanpete County START Team and the Manti City Fire Department, which he truly enjoyed. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing or even a leisurely ride up the canyon in his jeep. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. He loved watching his kids in the various sports they played, especially his Kemmer and her soft ball. He loved spending time with his grandkids: Aiden and Felicity, and watching them grow. He enjoyed working on his farm and tending to the new baby calf’s that would come every spring. He also enjoyed being at his second home, IFA. He loved all his co-workers and the people he met every day. He touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a kind and gentle man who would not hesitate to help anyone.
His survivors include his wife Liz of Ephraim; children: Ben (Megan) Stilson and their children, Saratoga Springs; Tiffany (Shawn) Connell, West Valley City; Lyndzee (Shilo) Kirkman, Midvale; Weston (Sydney) Stilson, Herriman; and Kemri Stilson, Ephraim; parents, Manti; siblings, Shane (Lisa) Stilson, Ogden; Kim (Tom) Lee, Spanish Fork; Jeremy (Heide) Stilson, West Valley City; and Brandon Stilson, Manti; mother-in-law, Ireta K. Schuring, Phoenix, AZ; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda; her parents, Arlene and Dean Anderson; grandparents: Max D. and Dorris S. Hansen; father-in-law, Joseph Andrew Schuring.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephriam 1 st LDS Ward Chapel, 450 North 200 West, where friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30.. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
