Kevin Von Crafts Jr., age 29, passed peacefully among friends on March 23, 2011. He was born in Ely, Nevada, July 3, 1981 to Carrie Lynne Barney and Kevin Von Crafts.
JR, as known by his friends and family, loved life and enjoyed the outdoors like the rest of his family. Fishing was a daily thing with JR - him and Grandpa Barney. He worked in construction all over the west and excelled in concrete finishing. He met and married Sarah Mellow, they later divorced.
His son Ashton was the love of his life and he spent as much time with him as he could. JR will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Ashton D. Crafts of Monroe; mother, Carrie Lynne (Kerry) Roberts of Salina; father, Kevin V. Crafts Sr. of Lovelock, NV; siblings, Jefferey D. Crafts of Lovelock, NV; Katrina L. (Clinton) Morrill, Brandon J (Keri Ann) Crafts, Cody D. (Crystal) Roberts and Brady E. (Chelsey) Roberts, all of Richfield; grandmother, Tonia K. Barney of Monroe; also surviving are three nieces and five nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Kerry Newell Barney.
Cremation services have taken place. A celebration of his life will take place on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 147 South Main with a family luncheon to follow.
