Kevin Lee Ames, 35, passed away July 28, 2014 at his home in Sigurd from injuries sustained from a work related accident. He was born September 25, 1978 in Salt Lake City to Danny Kaye and Brenda Fay Smith Ames. He married April Vada Crowley Smith, November 30, 2013 in Joseph, Utah.
Kevin lived his life to the fullest. He helped everyone and gave of himself to all. He is known and is loved by so many. He served in the California Fresno Spanish-speaking mission.
He always made time for his family, Kevin was a loving son, brother, husband and friend. Ask any of the nieces and nephews, he is the favorite uncle.
He received excellent care from the Richfield EMTs, Sevier Valley Medical Center, Air Med, the University of Utah Burn Center and IHC Hospice and Home Care. The family also appreciates the kindness, concern and care provided by our friends and family here at home.
He is survived by his wife; children: Kaysen, Kyler and Keaton Ames; step-children: Tiesha and Brayden Smith; parents; siblings: Shane (Victoria) Ames, Travis (Jamie) Ames, Kimberlee Shipley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Joseph LDS Ward Chapel, 50 North Center Street in Elsinore. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the ward chapel in Elsinore from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Sigurd Cemetery.
