Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Kenneth Ernest Stewart, age 83, passed away July 23, 2012 in Gunnison after an extended bout with Alzheimer’s Disease.
He was born April 15, 1929 in Milford to Ernest Leroy and Mettie Ireta Wilson Stewart.  He married Dorothy Irene Beaumont, March 29, 1947 in Pioche, NV.  The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They were together for 60 ½ years until her passing on October 2, 2007.
He graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, where he taught himself to be an A-1 welder and Mechanic.  He also drove truck, oiled on a crane and operated heavy equipment for L.A. Young and Sons Construction.
Ken loved hunting, fishing and camping.  He also loved to build his own 4-wheel drive trucks, as well as many other creations.  He loved his dogs, feeding wild birds in the yard along with Irene.  In his later years he would collect and fix up old bicycles which would be donated to the Church to give to the poor at Christmas time.
Ken is survived by children: Calvin (Marlene) Stewart of Central Valley, Veronda (Robert) Nichols of Austin, Kelly Stewart of Richfield, Stacey (Steve) Marshall of Richfield and Jody (Angie) Stewart of Ogden; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren;  sisters: Louise Sparkman of Portland, OR and Helen Barney of Grantsville.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents; a son David Lynn Stewart; brothers, Lloyd Stewart; Dave Stewart; and Jack Stewart.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 49 East 200 North in Monroe.  Friends may call at the ward chapel in Monroe on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
