Kenneth Miller
Manti, Utah

Kenneth E Miller, 83, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and WWII Veteran passed away at the Gunnison Valley Hospital on April 22, 2012. Ken was born on January 7, 1929 in Manti to Alden and Zella Miller. Ken was known for his service, quality of work, and integrity throughout his life. At a young age he joined the navy, and became part of "The Greatest Generation" who fought and won World War II. He was also present at the historical testing of the Atomic Bomb at the Bikini Islands.
Ken soon became a loving husband and father. He married Donna Perkins and together they had two boys. They later divorced. Ken then married Lila Mae Funk and their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS temple. Together they had seven children and were married 25 years. Ken continued his life of service by honing his craftsmanship and carpentry skills ~ eventually building over 40 homes across Manti and surrounding areas. He was known for his quality and customized carpentry work and the homes and projects he did were built to stand several hundreds of years past his lifetime.
Ken loved his children and would literally do anything for them. He also enjoyed deer and elk hunting, going to the mountains, raising animals, and rock hunting. Ken was known for being active and a hard worker. In his later years, he married LaRae Crisp and they traveled to Hawaii to see some of the areas where Ken served while in the navy. They later divored.
Ken is survived by his children: Ken, Connie, Kathleen, Dolan, Peggy and KennaRae;  siblings Dorthella, Ronald, Leon, Ray, Lewis, and Greg.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wives: Donna, Lila; three children: Daren, Lila Jo and Michael; and siblings: Glen and Donna Lou.
Funeral services and interment with military honors were held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 under the direction of Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
Even in his elderly years Ken continued to work hard and crafted beautiful structures, rock plaques, and rock tables. Dad, we will miss you so very much and are eternally grateful for the legacy you left ~ your example of hard work, sacrifice, loving kindness, and the quality and care you gave in life. We Love You!!!!
