Kenneth Harold Hoover

Kenneth Harold Hoover, 72, passed away January 25, 2017 in Richfield. He was born October 21, 1944 in Richfield to Kenneth Holdaway and Ada Steele Hoover. He married Beverly Ann Young, April 30, 1966 in Richfield.
Kenneth grew up in Marysvale Canyon at Hoover’s Café. His folks taught him to have a great sense of humor and a wonderful work ethic. He worked in construction all of his life, starting in Utah County and retiring in Las Vegas, NV.
When he retired, he and Beverly were finally able to move back to their beloved cabin in the canyon.
His greatest joy in his life was his family and being with his grand and great-grandchildren. He loved to “tinker”, there was always a project at hand. He also had quite a collection of memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Marysvale; children, Kevin Harold (Rachelle) Hoover and Karen (Mark) Johnson, both of Las Vegas, NV; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Joan Anderson, Helen (Mike) Gibbs, both of Marysvale; Carole (Ivan) Washburn of Monroe, Ginger (Rex) Lund of Richfield. He is preceded in death by children: Annette Bowen and Kenneth Hoyt Hoover; parents; brother-in-law, Jim Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Marysvale LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel in Marysvale on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30. Burial will be in the Marysvale Cemetery.
