Kenna Hawley

Kenna Spencer Hawley of Richfield, Utah, 96, passed peacefully away on November 23, 2018 at the caring and loving community of Monroe Canyon Assisted Living in Monroe, Utah. She was greeted in heaven by her loving husband Harold. She was born June 20, 1922 in Escalante, Utah to Lester and Blanche Spencer.
Kenna graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in nursing. She served as a nurse in Salt Lake City, Seattle, Washington, Panquitch, and Richfield, Utah. She married Harold Hawley on May 15, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death July 1, 2010.
Kenna lived many years in Central, Utah where she was a homemaker, Relief Society president and church organist. She and Harold later moved to Richfield, where they spent their retirement years. Kenna was a member and officer in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was always a kind and gentle person who brought light to everyone. She had great pride and love for all her family.
Kenna is survived by sons: William (Whitney) Hawley, Moab; Wayne (Annette) Hawley, Placerville, CA; Mark (Chrisann) Hawley, Notom; John (Shelly) Hawley, Bakersfield, CA; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Farlan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 South 100 West. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary Saturday morning December 15, from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
