Kendall Sorenson
Aurora, Utah
Our kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Kendall Eugene Sorenson, 85 years old, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on June 15, 2019 in Aurora Utah. He was born in Aurora, the 7th child of Wilmoth Harding and William Sorenson on May 25, 1934. He married his childhood sweetheart Virginia May Branch in the Manti Temple on October 10, 1952. They were happily married for 66 years. They were blessed with six children: Beverly (Kent) Larsen, Colleen (Jeff) Hallows, Correen (David) Johnson, Barry (Cindy) Sorenson, Dana (Nancy) Sorenson, and the late Warren W. Sorenson.
Dad graduated from North Sevier High School where he was the state FFA President. He loved to box, and he brought boxing to the school. He worked various jobs in his life including farming, trucking, mining and safety. At an early age Daddy learned the value of hard work on the farm, and he worked hard to the very end. Dad's favorite pastime was being in his garden and working in his yard.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held various positions, including a member of the bishopric. With Mom by his side they fulfilled a service mission at the cannery in Sigurd Utah.
Dad was a kind and compassionate person, he valued his friendships. He was definitely a people person. He loved being a grandpa and he made many wonderful memories with each grandchild.
He is survived by his wife; children; 20 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way, 7 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Phyllis Sorenson; brothers-in-law: Roger Sorenson and Leon Mason.
