Keith Worwood
LaVerkin, Utah
Keith Arnold Worwood completed this mortal adventure and captured life’s checkered flag on December 11, 2023 at the age of 84 at his home in LaVerkin. Keith was born in Nephi on April 27, 1939 to Marvel Taylor Worwood and Arnold Henry Worwood. He completed high school in Nephi and served in the US Army for 4 years where he became a valued radar and missile parts specialist. After being honorably discharged from the military, Keith worked as a carpenter.
At the age of 23, he married Ethel Maurine Noon Daniels and instantly assumed the role of father to her six children. Their 7th child was born the following year. Keith took fatherhood very seriously and was devoted to teaching his children how to be good people and succeed in life. He also taught that life was to be enjoyed.
He graduated from Utah Technical College in Salt Lake with an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. He eventually owned his own construction business “Keith Worwood and Sons Construction”. During his career he moved from being a contractor to a superintendent and built many homes, businesses, schools, and churches. He enjoyed construction because he could see the physical fruits of his labor. Keith could build or fix almost anything.
Keith was a natural leader. While in school, he served in student government. Later, he also became the president of a credit union. Keith loved to travel and drove on almost every road in Utah and much of the country, visiting all but seven US states.
In 1993, he married Janice Kaye Sims. Together, they traveled internationally visiting six Canadian provinces, four Mexican states, eight Caribbean Islands, France, Spain, Italy, and two Mediterranean Islands.
Keith enjoyed interacting with people. He loved to visit his favorite restaurants and befriend the servers.
Keith had a quick wit and incredible memory that lasted to the end. He looked upon life as one thrilling adventure after another and was very satisfied with his experience. In his last days, he often said that he was looking forward to his next great adventure.
He is survived by his children: Sherrie Frandsen, Pflugerville, TX; Craig (Marilyn) Daniels, Richfield; Lanna (Donnie) Fredrickson, Kearns; Annette (David) Burrows, Vernal; and Danny (Leanne) Worwood, Hurricane; as well as 89 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Clark (Diane) Worwood, Marilyn Parry.
Keith is preceded in death by his first and second wives; as well as a son, Bruce Daniels; and daughter, Francine Stubbs; son-in-law, Burke Frandsen; brother-in-law, Rick Parry.
