Barbara Kaye Lunnen, passed away June 29, 2012 in Richfield. She was born November 9, 1935 in Park City to Winford Utley and Erma Keetch Robison. She married the love of her life, Larry E Lunnen September 29, 1962 in Sandy. The marriage was solemnized July 7, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Kaye was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society, Young Womens, family history center and as a temple worker in the Manti Temple. She loved all of her callings but always had a special place in her heart for the children. She spent many years volunteering as a teacher’s assistant at Ashman Elementary in Mrs. Southwick’s first grade.
Kaye was employed at ZCMI from 1974-1999. Starting as a sales associate she was eventually promoted to area manager, Cottonwood Mall Store. In 1990 she was transferred to the Red Cliffs Store in St. George where she served as Personnel Manager, Credit Manager, and Assistant Store Manager. Kaye received the Master Associates award in 1993, the Brigham Young Cane Award for the highest standard of quality and service in 1999, and during her years with ZCMI was credited with many other awards.
She loved spending time with her family and after her retirement, she spent countless hours writing family histories, stories, poems, and making scrapbooks that her children and grandchildren will always treasure.
Survived by husband Larry of Richfield; children: James “Marty” (Cathy) Lunnen, Copperton; Juri K. (Kelly) Strong, Richfield; Larry Michael Lunnen, Portland, Oregon;  Jason Cory (Pam) Lunnen, Bountiful; Debbie (Erv) Blumhorst, Idaho Falls, Idaho; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: June (Neldon) Christensen, Hurricane; Geri (Michael) Stelling, Salt Lake City; Billie (Kelly) Lether, Brighton; Laurel (Cloyd) Harrison, Benjamin; Joanne (Bill) Hoffman, West Jordan; Valyn “Boots” (Gerald) Larsen, Carlin, Nevada and several nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Preceded in death by parents and son, Jaren E Lunnen.
Funeral services will be held Friday,  July 6, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the Richfield 3rd LDS Ward Chapel (985 S. 400 W.). Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Thursday  from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel  on Friday  from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
