Kathrine Joe-Ann Dungan Bair, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep July 19, 2015 in American Fork, Utah. Kathy was born March 11, 1935 in Concordia, Kansas to Joseph Henry and Marie Nancy Kathrine Bostelman Dungan. She was raised primarily in Carbondale, Colorado.
Kathy married Golden LeGrande Bair on January 24, 1953, in Glenwood Springs, CO. After joining the LDS Church as a young bride, she was always active and held many callings. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Kathy was artistic, creative and optimistic. She had a great sense of humor and never lacked for friends. She loved the Christmas season and collected thousands of Santas and is known by her grandchildren as "Grandma Santa Bair". A favorite quote of hers is "Even though I am a tiny tot, I like Santa a lot".
She is survived by her husband, LeGrande; children: Debbie Franks, Sharry (Dave) Barton, Bruce (Inge) Bair, Tami (Paul) Skeem, Tim (Annette) Bair, Tom Bair; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Irene Dungan.
Preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Mike Franks; brothers: Elmer and Ben; sister, Margaret.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 149 South Main. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
