Kathleen Stenberg
Mayfield, Utah
The life of Kathleen Stenberg came to an end April 1, 2021 in the same home she was born in Mayfield Utah. She was born in Mayfield to Allen and Ruth Jensen on March 30, 1939. Kathy married Maynard Stenberg June 21, 1959. Their love story lasted 62 years.
Maynard’s employment required a lot of traveling to 7 countries and 49 states. Kathy never complained and took care of everything while he was gone. They retired to Mayfield and created a beautiful and inviting home and yard.
Kathy loved going with Maynard in the jeep enjoying the beauties of all their well loved places. She enjoyed crafting and giving away her beautiful works of art. She was an amazing seamstress. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating wonderful meals, and would rather take a cookbook to bed than a novel. Kathy was very ambitious and her home and yard reflected many hours of loving care.
Kathy had a tender heart and loved animals of any kind.
Kathy is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kathy and Maynard silently served many neighbors and friends around them, preferring no recognition. Together they researched and compiled a beautiful history in loving memory of their ancestors.
Rae Hansen was a true sister friend to Kathy for 57 years. They shared many adventures raising their children together, they enjoyed the good times, cared about one another and were there for each other in all ways.
We are very grateful to those who assisted Kathy. Thanks to Dr. Wade Anderson for his special care and thoughtfulness. We sincerely appreciate the Hospice team Kambree, Pat, Deloris and staff.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband Maynard Stenberg; a son Bick (Lisa) Stenberg, granddaughter, Alexis (Devin) Oates, great grandson Walter Maynard Oates, granddaughter Brittany (Joey) Austin; sister friend Rae Hansen.
Preceded in death by her parents Allen and Ruth Jensen and her aunt Ruby Gregerson.
I will always love and miss you;
That will never hide,
And when people ask me,
They will always see my pride.
You are so precious and your memory will always live on.
I will always be glad that I had you and sad that you are now gone.
Love, Maynard
