Our loving mother, grandmother and daughter, Katherine Weir Christensen, 71, passed away June 20, 2021 in Provo.  She was born November 19, 1949 in Pocatello, ID to Harry M and Eloise Olson Weir.  She married Martin Eugene Christensen on February 21, 1970 in Centerville, UT. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2009.

Always putting others before herself, Kathy is, and always will be, an inspiration to others. She was loved by everyone whoever met her. She always told the best stories and sang the funnest songs. She was a fighter and fought until the end.

Kathy is survived by her children: Shannon Hilling, Bend OR; Nathan Bradley Christensen, Nicole (Maegan) Kiesel, Danielle (Mark) Sieb, Darren James Christensen, and Joshua Craig Christensen, all of Gunnison; 6 grandchildren; father, Harry; siblings: Patricia Hutchings, Craig Eric (Shelley) Weir, Salt Lake City; TeriLynn (Wes) Gale, Yuma, AZ; and Jon Robert Weir, Centerville.

Also preceded in death by her mother, Eloise; son, Gregory Martin Christensen.

Cremation services have taken place at the Magleby Mortuary Crematory. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gunnison Stake Center, where friends may call Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45.  Burial of cremated remains will be in the Centerfield Cemetery.
