Kaden "K-Whit" Whitney

On September 16, 2015, our beautiful son, brother, uncle and friend, Kaden Dene Whitney, 20, finished his calling here on earth, passing away during his sleep at home in Centerfield, Utah.

Kaden was born June 22, 1995 in Delta, Utah to Eric and Janell Rawlinson Whitney. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to the Gunnison valley where he was a short life resident of the area and active in many school and Church activities.

He had many talents from walking on his tippy toes, having his own language to playing every sport he could get his hands on. He loved music, and spent many hours playing the guitar. He had a special talent of being able to "play by ear".

Kaden loved the Church. He loved preaching the Gospel. He loved his mission in Mississippi. He loved his family.

He is survived by his parents, Eric and Janell Whitney, Centerfield; siblings: Jenna Whitney, Centerfield; Devon Whitney, St. George; Hunter Whitney, Centerfield; girlfriend, Hannah Mongie, Provo; grandmother, Karen Whitney, Spanish Fork; niece, Brinley and nephews, Kenyon and Knox; many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Preceded in death by grandparents: Neil C. and Verdene Rawlinson; Ranell Whitney.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, where friends may call on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 or on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Fayette Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
