Norma June Saunders Ririe, 81, of Monroe, Utah passed away October 4, 2012, in Monroe. She was born June 30, 1931, in Ogden, Utah to Heber Clyde and Norma Leone Phillips Saunders. She married Robert LaMar Ririe, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2009.
June grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She lived in Ogden and later in Las Vegs, NV for 53 years. She spent the last four years of her life in Monroe. June was a member of the D.U.P. and LDS church where she served in many callings. She loved crafts of all kind, especially, sewing, crocheting and counted cross stitch. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden.
She is survived by her chidlren, Paula (Mike) Lane, Monroe; Christine Proctor, Cedar City; and Jackie Ririe, Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Saunders, Clinton; Douglas (Martha) Saunders, Ogden; sister, Joy (Scott) Smith, Ogden; sisters-in-law, Joan Saunders, Las Vegas, NV; and Tina Saunders, Woodenville, WA; brother-in-law, Duane Morris, Ogden.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents; and siblings, Fred Saunders, Gary Saunders, Faye Morris and Dorothy Vance.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe 4th Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Monroe on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti
