June B. Jensen
Richfield, Utah
Our kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend June Burtren Jensen, 96, passed away September 14, 2020 in the comfort of his home. He was born June 25, 1924 in Elsinore to Eldred and Melba Utley Jensen.
June was a very patriotic man. Soon after graduating from South Sevier High School, he was drafted into the United States Army. After serving two and a half years in World War II, he returned home, and continued his education at the University of Utah and a vocational school in Salt Lake City. He returned back to Elsinore and established Jensen Electric and Heating with his brother Garth. They moved the business to Richfield and continued the business for 45 years.
After moving the business to Richfield, June married Carol Staples on July 2, 1953 in Las Vegas, NV, and they were later sealed December 5, 1970 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with five children: Douglas, Lisa Penney, Marcia (David) Eyre, Brett (Christy), and Dirk (Pollyanna). They have 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
June and Carol built a cabin at Sleepy Hollow at Fishlake which provided many years of happy times and wonderful memories with family and friends. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he served in many ways. He especially loved when he served in the Fish Lake branch. June always had a deep love and respect for his family and for his country. He was a great example to his family of hard work, dedication, and integrity.
June is survived by his wife; children; brothers: Morris (June) and Lee R. (LaVell); and sister, Blanche (Sterling) Hansen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Garth (Zola), MacRay (Peggy), Wayne (Rolayne) Holt, and son-in-law, Daniel K. Santos.
