With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Julia Marie Nay. Marie was born on September 3, 1930 , in Monroe, and peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father on March 2, 2025 at her home in Monroe. She was joyfully reunited with the love of her life, Alvin Delos Nay.
Marie and Delos were married on September 20, 1946, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family. Their enduring partnership served as a beautiful example to all who knew them.
Marie was a devoted mother to ten children: Alvin Delos Jr. (deceased), Julia Ann (deceased), Lucinda Marie, Patricia Ruth, Donald Carlos (deceased), Keri Michelle, Kevin Sean, Frederick Terrance Henry, Misty Dawn, and Benjamin Joseph. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she opened her heart and home to many others, becoming an adoptive mother to countless children throughout her life.
For 30 years, Marie served the students of the Sevier School District as a dedicated lunch lady, nourishing both their bodies and their spirits with her warm smile and caring nature. Following her school retirement, Marie’s love for cooking led her to a thriving catering career. She joyfully served hundreds of events, sharing her delicious food and warm spirit with the community. Her dedication made her a beloved and sought-after caterer.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marie lived a life of service and devotion. She held many callings throughout her life, but she found her true passion as the compassionate service coordinator for her ward. In this role, she touched countless lives with her selfless acts of kindness and unwavering empathy.
Marie was well-known for her amazing cooking and baking. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort, where she lovingly prepared meals for her family and friends. She was especially renowned for her incredible cinnamon rolls and Christmas candies, a treat that brought joy to those lucky enough to taste them. Marie found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly fishing. She spent countless hours at the lake, casting her line and enjoying the tranquility of nature. Marie loved the mountains and cherished anytime she could spend in them. Marie will be remembered for her boundless love, compassionate heart, unwavering faith, and delicious cooking. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alvin Delos Nay; parents, Henry and Ruth Jane Timson Wilcock; and her children: Alvin Delos Jr., Julia Ann, Jody Ann Beck, Donald Carlos, and Roger Lee Dymock.
She is survived by her children: Lucinda Marie Nay, Patricia Ruth Dymock, Keri Michelle (Darin) Bushman, Kevin Sean Nay (Emily Smith), Frederick Terrance Henry, Misty Dawn (Dan) Stoddard, and Benjamin Joseph (Ashley) Nay; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe Stake Center, 140 S Main. Viewings: Friday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield or Saturday morning at the church from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
