    Judy Ann Mickelson Anderson passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023. She was born to Ernest and Nora Mickelson in Manti on November 21, 1939. She attended Manti High  School, Snow College, and graduated from Utah State University. She married Lee James Anderson on June 27, 1962 in the Manti Temple. After graduation, they moved back to Manti where they raised their 9 children. She and Lee were pillars in their community, serving in many capacities. 
    Judy was a seamstress and sewed clothes for her children, and grandchildren. She also provided countless hours of charity work for the Mormon Miracle Pageant, and sewing humanitarian clothes, for underprivileged people around the world. She was an artist and dabbled  in oil paint, water colors and acrylics. She was a teacher and worked as a para educator at Manti Elementary school for 10 years after her own children were raised. She was industrious, making  cheese, butter, bread, preserving their home-grown fruits and vegetables until the last year of her  life. She was good at climbing trees, and finding treasures at yard sales. 
    Judy had a deep and abiding love for the Savior and worked diligently in His church. She served in many callings, including Primary president, YW president, RS president, teacher, minister, and she supported Lee with his many callings in the church and community. Judy was a missionary, serving a couples mission with Lee to the Manilla Philippines Temple. After their return, Judy and Lee were ordinance workers in the Manti Temple for over ten years. 
    Judy suffered multiple debilitating strokes in her final years of life. During this time, she received tremendous support and care from her husband Lee, her daughter-in-law Danee, and the
care staff from Mission at Community Assisted Living Center in Centerfield. 
    Judy has 45 grandchildren, and 15 great grand-children. 
    Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 12:00 Noon, in the Manti 8th Ward Chapel (Red Church), where friends may call for viewing Sunday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm, and Monday from 10:00 - 11:30 am.
