Judie Madsen

Gunnison, Utah

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Judith Irene Allred Madsen, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in Gunnison on February 17, 2016, and returned to her Heavenly Father. She was born August 4, 1943 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Royal and Stella Ackerman Allred.

Judie grew up in and around the Salt Lake valley and went to Murray High School. She married Terry Madsen, May 4, 1975. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1981. They had 40 years of love and memories together.

Nana loved anything antique as she always felt like she was born in the wrong era. She also loved horses and animals of all sorts. She loved decorating, crafting, painting, Halloween, and shoes. But most of all she loved spending time with family. We have many fond memories of time spent at "Nanna’s house".

Judie is survived by her husband, Terry, Gunnison; children: Scott (Amanda) Barney, South Jordan; John (Sherry) Barney, Walker Lake, NV; Mike Barney, Las Vegas, NV; Kim (Kyle) Bosshardt, Centerfield; and Timothy (Suzanne) Madsen, Gunnison; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters and their spouses.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ken Allred.

We love and miss you Nana!
