Judith Gramse Lott
Murrieta, California
Judith Ross Berthelson Gramse Lott passed away on July 13, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Judy is survived by her husband Don Lott and her children Karen Browning, Brad and Glen Gramse. She also had 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her surviving sisters: Ila Christiansen, Jeanne Langston; her two brothers: Gordon Berthelson and Robert Berthelson. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Daughetee.
Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She had many friends and will be sorely missed. Her many interests include sewing, cooking, gardening, and decorating her home. But most of all she loved her family and vacations. She spent her whole life as a devoted servant of God.
Judy was raised in Richfield, Utah and this is where she met Max Gramse right after he returned from the Korean War. They were engaged before she graduated from high school in 1953 and married the following August. They left for California right after their wedding and started their new life together. Their first home was in Torrance and it was there when they had their first two children: Karen and Brad. They then moved to La Palma when they had their third child, Glen. They had a brief home in Yorba Linda before settling in Murrieta. Max passed away in 2006 leaving Judy a widow for the next 2 years.
While working in the San Diego temple she met Don Lott a distinguished soft-spoken man. They were immediately attracted to each other and before long decided to marry. They have been very happily married for 15 years.
