Josephine Lucille Supertino Newton, 67, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 at home in Ephraim, surrounded by her family, after a long and valiant fight with heart failure. She was born January 31, 1945 in Bakersfield, California to Victor Albert and Velma Ann Stevens Supertino. She married Richard Woodrow Newton, in 1964 in Bakerfield, later divorced.

Mom was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings of compassionate service and food preparation. She lived a long life serving others.

She is survived by her daughter, RaGena Maria (Rondo) Latu, Ephraim; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Victor Joseph (Lynette) Supertino, Bakersfield, CA.

Preceded in death by parents; son, Richard Newton; great-grandson, Soka Viliseni.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ephraim 7th Ward, 400 East Center, where friends may call  from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Ephraim Park Cemetery.
