Joleen Howell

Joleen Cole Howell, 77, passed away January 21, 2014 at her home in Richfield. She was born March 13, 1936 in Provo to Frank "Lefty" and Helen Goodrich Cole. She married Blaine Howell, later divorced.
Joleen was a loving and generous woman. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and caring friend. She devoted her time raising many of her grandchildren. She was a master quilter and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Joleen worked for the Provo Police Department as the secretary to the Chief of Police, along with volunteering at the Oddsey House where she was also the secretary to the facility director. She relocated to California with her family, after her divorce, and worked for Jacobs Engineering as an executive secretary for 35 years. After her retirement Joleen returned to Utah and settled in Richfield, where she lived out her remaining years.
Joleen was known for her sense of humor and quick witted personality. Her laugh was intoxicating and her unconditional love will live on with us forever.
Survived by her children: Mark T. (Rose) Howell, San Diego, CA; Lisa Walker, Elma, IW; Shelly Howell, Vista, CA; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Don) Williams, Springville; niece, Jennifer R. Paskett-Thomas, Holladay.
Preceded in death by parents and sister, Sondra Pistone.
