Jack Kyhl

Richfield, Utah

Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John Wilford "Jack" Kyhl passed away on July 2, 2015 at his home in Richfield, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on October 3, 1930 in Koosharem, Utah to Harry Wilford and Arletta Venetta Larsen Kyhl. He married the love of his life, Ardella Hatch on September 21, 1951 in the Manti Temple for time and all eternity. She preceded him in death September 26, 2012 and they are now reunited as constant companions once again. Jack and Ardella lived the majority of their married life in Richfield where their two children Jackie and Gary were born and raised.

Jack was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life. He never waivered in his faith and testimony. He attended school in Koosharem and served his country in the Marines during the Korean War. Jack was a master craftsman and was self-employed in the home construction business for more than 50 years. His reputation preceded him as the "Contractor" to hire for an honest and reliable experience and to have his stamp of perfection on your home. After retiring, Jack made countless pieces of quaking aspen furniture for his family and many others.

Jack loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Camping and spending time with family and friends in the outdoors was one of his greatest joys. Jack was a member of the Utah Sons of the Pioneers and was instrumental in preserving the limekilns north of Richfield and many other worthy projects.

Jack is survived by children: Jackie (Gordon) Anderson, Gary (Margaret) Kyhl; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and sister Darlene Lesonik.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Gary J Kyhl; great-grandson Branson Call.

With never a complaint or a "Why me" he showed us all how to live, laugh, love, and be a Christ-like example. We Love You Dad! God Be With You Till We Meet Again.

A special thank you to the many friends and family who called at his home and especially hospice for the loving care that they have given during the past weeks.
