"Papa John" John Wayne Guesman, Jr. PM, 89, passed away November 10, 2013 in Hatch. He was born June 3, 1924 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to John Wayne and Elizabeth Walker Guesman. His wife, Calanthe, passed away November 24, 2004.
John joined the United States Navy, June 4, 1942 and was honorably discharged after WWII on December 31, 1945. He joined the Free Masons and served as Worshipful Master and a Scottish Rite Mason 32nd degree .
John worked as a coal miner and a mill worker.
He is survived by his children: James Guesman, John Wayne (Patricia) Guesman, III, Elizabeth Lee Guesman; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Masonic Rites will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Acacia Lodge #49 at 2929 Van Der Meer Street, North Las Vegas, where friends may call after 12:30 p.m. Burial in the Bunker Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
